Within Liverpool One, Baltic Broadband has installed a large-scale 100Gbps Digital Connectivity Network that circles the entire estate. This dual dark Fibre & Fixed Wireless Access network has been designed for ultra-high speeds (from 100Mbps to 100Gbps) coupled with maximise resilience that provides maximum up-time, all backed by a 100% Service Level Agreement which is further underwritten by £10m of product Liability insurance.
In addition to high speed internet, the Liverpool One estate has pre-installed access to other networks, such as LCR Play, Cloud Connect and Baltic Ping including an on-site underground Data Centre so retailers can co-locate their IT equipment outside of their demise while physically remaining on the estate.
Tenants can also buy temporary internet connections for a day, week or month (ideal for pop-up shops/retail activations etc) or the usual 12 month/3 year contract periods. Lead-times are same-day switch on (if Baltic are already present in the demise), or around 10 working days from order.

What Resilience do you have in place?
Baltic’s Network at Liverpool One is served by four separate internet connections (two Dark Fibre and two Fixed Wireless Access connections) each from the North and South parts of the estate, powered by alternative electrical power feeds from different substations with full battery backup that will power our infrastructure for around 12 hours in the event of a power failure.
Our North Connectivity is directly connected into LINX Manchester (Manchester Internet Exchange Peering Point). At this site, we have over 100Gbps of onwards connectivity to various content and eyeball networks with backup BGP sessions to IX Reach, AMS-IX and a range of transit providers.
Our South Connectivity is directly connected into London at the London Internet Exchange (the core of the Internet in the UK) which is the point that we peer with other networks and exchange traffic directly with them. At this site, we have over 100Gbps of onwards connectivity to the rest of the world with backup BGP sessions to LONAP, IX Reach and a range of transit providers.
How does the Baltic Roam WiFi Work?
Customers can use their Internet package at any of the various public WiFi points around the city. They simply use the login that we provide, connect and use for as long as they require, without any data limits. Read the full detail at here.
How is the energy that we'd use Renewable?
We generate our own renewable energy from the various power plants that we have around the region, that power the Baltic Network. Please see our Renewable Energy Page for a more detailed explanation.
Do I have to go with Baltic for my connectivity ?
As a Liverpool One tenant, you can choose any Internet Service Provider for your connectivity needs. That said, Baltic Broadband has invested heavily into the estate to provide high grade, high speed digital connectivity that can be installed within as little as 10 working days from order. As we have an agreement with the estate directly, we’re able to speed up the time it takes for delivery, while having a site-wide wayleave that benefits tenants by reducing costs and time taken.
Do you offer long term contracts so we can fix our costs?
Yes we can offer daily (ideal for pop-up shop’s, brand activation’s etc), monthly , 12 month or 3 yearly contracts depending on your preference or remaining lease time at the Liverpool One estate.
How can I extend my network in my demise into your Data Centre?
Some Liverpool One customers want to move their IT Infrastructure away from their store, but want to keep it local while having 24/7 access to it, should they need it. Using our underground Data Centre underneath Liverpool One, customers can physically move their kit into an air conditioned, backup powered and UPS protected environment that is monitored 24/7 with CCTV and alarmed, installing their equipment into a secure colocation rack that only they have access to.
One major feature is that existing Baltic Broadband customer’s can request to use the same incoming cable (into their current demise) to be configured as a multi-Service port, allow them to have a layer 2 LAN connection between their demise and our Data Centre, This way, it acts as a long point to point network connection between both places and at whatever speeds they wish, which is ideal for security (off-site CCTV), low latency (AR, VR and retail applications) and other applications.
Many retailers love the idea of freeing up valuable floor space back into retail use by moving their IT into the on-site Data Centre, without losing any functionality at all.

Internet is critical to our operation at Liverpool One, how can I ensure I'm protected?
Baltic operates a high speed & highly resilient network for it’s customers at Liverpool One. Most of the connectivity packages that we offer are protected by default with various layers of redundancy and in-built natural resilience as part of it’s design.
If you need additional protection and require a 100% service level agreement, a contracted fix time, with insurance backed compensation, 24hr support and use of our mobile connectivity service (should we fail), please see our Baltic Bulletproof product.
We'd like to do a retail activation, can we rent internet for a day?
Yes, we offer short term packages that are charged daily or weekly and have been designed for retail activations (such as an interactive experience involving the company, its staff, and its consumers) or simple product launches. We charge a setup fee to bring the internet to your outdoor POS display/stand/pop-up within the Liverpool One estate, then a daily or weekly rate based on the required speed. All services are leased lines with speeds starting from 100Mbps right up to 10Gbps.
