Today we’ve launched our new LCR Play service. Although strictly not a new product (originally called the Liverpool Game Developers Network) today we’ve added another 20 buildings onto the network while changing the name with a dedicated website for it.
LCR Play is a local, Liverpool City Region digital connectivity network for the Interactive Entertainment & Gaming Industry.
In 2013 we began construction of LCR Play (originally called the Liverpool Game Developers Network) in the Baltic Triangle area of Liverpool.
Back then, we worked with IX Liverpool to bring the transatlantic submarine cable into the Baltic Creative in order to provide creative businesses access to lower latency.
Unfortunately, it had to be removed in 2020 ( to make room for car parking) and was later moved to the Factory Building on Watkinson St. Today it has now been expanded to cover many locations around the Liverpool City Region.
To date, we have connected over 50 buildings onto the LCR Play digital network, pioneering the deployment of the region’s first metropolitan area network that connects up our local Interactive Entertainment & Gaming Industry.
LCR play is expanding all of the time, with regular applications to join from Games Companies, Office Landlords and Event Venue Operators.
We welcome applications from such parties whereby there is a tangible benefit for all parties to connect your building or company to our network.
