Wholesale Services

Baltic offer a range of Wholesale Services to customers who wish to operate their own network infrastructure and services and can utilise Baltic’s network assets and national data centre space in order to do so.

Customers of Wholesale Services tend to be start-up networks, resellers and small network operators who wish to utilise another providers infrastructure for a period of time, quite often before they build out a network themselves.

We offer Layer 2, & Layer 3 connectivity as well as physical co-location space in two data centres, North and South of the UK, in order to provide full network resilience. We also offer Local co-location for wholesale customers who can build-out Points of Presence (POP’s) within our local Liverpool City Region facilities.

IP Transit

IP Transit is a high-bandwidth symmetrical service used to connect your equipment to the Internet. It is charged using 95th percentile committed data rate over 100Mbps, 1Gbps or 10Gbps burstable ports.

Features

  • 4 top global upstreams: Level(3), Telia, NTT and Cogent
  • Access the entire IPv4/v6 global Internet over best available routes
  • Multi-homed and dual-vendor for carrier/equipment/site resilience
  • Peered routes for fewer hops, higher reliability, lower latency
  • Delivered as BGP, your own IPs announced, or our own static IP
  • Multi-router and multi-site redundancy and diversity options
  • Available same day in our data centres

Costs

We ask that you commit to a particular data rate, this helps us balance our network to ensure maximum reliability. This can be increased at any time if you find you’re using more than you planned.

We bill based on the 95th percentile data rate, if you go over your CDR (committed data rate) you’ll be billed per whole Mbps at your price band. If you keep going over your CDR it’s often cheaper to increase it.

We can provide static routed IP transit with our own IPs, or if you prefer we can originate your own IP addresses from our network and route them to you. We support IPv4 and native IPv6

Depending on your preference, we can provide default route or full table BGP feeds.

Current Transit CDR Pricing

  • 10 Mbps – £10.80/Mbps
  • 50 Mbps – £4.80/Mbps
  • 100 Mbps – £3.60/Mbps
  • 250 Mbps – £3.00/Mbps
  • 500Mbps – £2.00 /Mbps
  • 1Gbps – £1.20 /Mbps
  • 10Gbps – £0.80p/Mbps

National Co-Location Space

Co-location racks are ideal when 100% up-time, high speed Internet and fire/theft security are required for many servers in a centralised location.

Whether it’s mission critical infrastructure or off-site disaster recovery, your staff have unrestricted access to your equipment and communal facilities, making us a welcoming extension to your other facilities and offices.
