In 2017, Baltic Broadband installed a 10Gpbs Internet connection into the Baltic Triangle (called the Baltic Loop which is part of the Liverpool Fibre Loop.) and in late 2018 we extended the loop into the newly built MICT Data Centre on Norfolk Street.
Our strategic partnership with MICT and IX Liverpool has enabled this building with not only world-class Internet connectivity but with high grade, low latency transit for customers who co-locate within the MICT data centre. In addition to this, the partnership has also installed Direct Connections into various cloud providers, such as:
From 1st February 2019, the Liverpool Internet Exchange (IX Liverpool) will also be extending its network so customers of the data centre can plug directly into the exchange and peer with members locally or remotely peer at the Manchester or London Internet Exchanges.
